  A couple of weeks ago my wife and I decided to make Thanksgiving day dinner reservations for six at Stables restaurant, which happens to be one of our favorite places. We have had many meals both lunch after golf and dinner with friends for a special night out. One of our most recent gatherings was the fall Balloon Festival where we had a VIP table set for ten. That was one of the most enjoyable evenings imaginable, the food was great, the price was a good value for our money and we vowed to do it again next year. Kudo's to Stables and Tubac Resort. We have always had praise for everything at Stables; that is until this afternoon. Even though we made reservations early and arrived a few minutes early, our table was not ready when the Hostess took us to it. The food started off with salad on a warm plate and the spinach was limp, then came the main course, we all had Turkey. All of our food was cool at best and none of us knew exactly what the items before us was except the pieces of turkey. We each had a glass of wine and never were asked if we wanted coffee or an additional glass of wine. All of this came to sixty dollars a person, which was not a good value for our money. I am not criticizing the server, he was very attentive and I wish I could remember his name to thank him again. What our experience this afternoon has done is to reconsider where to have a Christmas gathering of ten or more people on or about Christmas day. Darn it Stables. Sincerely, the Kern's
